I’ve been doing erotic hypnosis for quite a few years by now, and over time I’ve built a small collection of scenes and tricks that I enjoy doing over and over again.

I’ve learned all my hypnosis crafts almost exclusively from https://www.learnhypnokink.com, which I highly recommend as a learning resource, and which reflects in my hypnotic style. Notably, I don’t do or follow scripts, so I’ll write down my ideas as “recipes” (one could also call them “scenes”): A collection of ideas and ingredients, with some loose instructions for how to mix them.1

Safety notice: Some of these recipes certainly aren’t for beginners. Apply critical thinking and safety and consent best practices, and be mindful of your limits!

Depth gauge

This one was done on me the very first time I got hypnotized, and I equally used it in my first own hypnosis session. It is not really kinky2, but I just recommend it as a beginner exercise for building mutual trust and getting a feeling for hypnosis. The basic setup can go roughly like this:

Imagine a gauge displaying a number from zero to ten. You can imagine it any way you want, [insert fluff here]. Its display goes from zero to ten. It shows how deep in trance you are: Zero when you’re awake, and ten for the deepest trance state imaginable to you. You don’t have to think about it, it already shows the correct number, all you have to do is read it. Now tell me and say it aloud, which number does it show right now?

The main goal of this exercise is to establish a communication channel on how “deep” the subject feels, as this is not always easy to read for beginner hypnotists. Of course, this “zero to ten” framing is completely arbitrary, but I’ve found it a really helpful onto that helps against insecurities (on both sides). Emphasizing the “don’t think about it” part is thus important, not in the “no thoughts head empty” way but in the “it’s all vibes and made up anyways so don’t fucking overthink it” way. (This is also why one doesn’t ask “how deep are you?”, but “what number does the gauge show?”. In the hypnosis world, framing is everything!) Continue with some trance deepener and then ask again. (And make sure to not build an implicit expectation of “number go up”!)

The fun thing is that it is first introduced as a measuring instrument, but then you turn the tables by starting to manipulate the scale yourself. Fun things to do with it:

  • Use it for the countdown when waking up from trance: Ask the subject what their scale reads, then do a countdown from there to zero in order to wake them up. I like doing one wakeup induction after each number, it makes for good pacing.
    • I really like using “you will open your eyes at zero” as part of this for several reasons: It artifically creates a clear boundary between trance and waking, it prevents the sub from “waking up too early” which can create weirdness, and it provides an easy “omg this actually works” experience. (To be clear, open-eyed trance is certainly a thing, but it is sensible to ignore this in the beginning.)
  • Once the wakeup countdown is an established pattern, subvert it by starting a countdown and then at two or three start counting up again (“you suddenly feel something pulling you downwards again”). Depending on your dynamic and how dommy you are, literally tipping the scales (and bragging about it) can be a great display of power.
  • Go off the scale: Once the subject is capable of going into the six to eight range on the scale without trouble (whatever that may actually mean), start by taking control over their depth meter and then push them down to ten and beyond. What happens then is up to you; use the time it takes to get there to prepare that and build anticipation.
Aquarelle painting of a device that looks something between a parking meter and an old analogue amp meter. The display goes from 0 to 10, and the red needle is past the 10. The image has dull colors and is a bit blurry and washed out.

Small body

Loved by all littles—age regressors and plural alike. The goal is to shrink the subject’s body (or perception) thereof, for example to induce euphoria or ease dysphoria. I typically achieve this by combining two core elements, one body-focused and one environment-focused, and alternating between them as a fractionation. In the body-focused inductions I tend to focus on shrinking, while in the environment-focused inductions I tend to focus on being small.

Body-focused inductions:

  • Deflate the body with breathing exercises: For example by evoking the thought of an air balloon getting deflated, or by focusing on the exhale over the inhale of the breath.
  • Shrinking beam: This works well as a kinaesthetic (i.e. touch) induction, where touch is meant to act as a “shrinking beam” (I always take the one from Despicable Me as my inspiration.)

Environment-focused inductions:

  • Talk about how big the environment is. The room, the bed, the mattress. Make the subject feel tiny in the environment.
  • Make yourself bigger during the session. Start off with a gentle voice and some physical distance, and then become louder and use your body language to make them feel smaller. Imagine yourself as a giant and act accordingly.

Wakeup inductions: Once a desired state of feeling small is reached, I try to solidify it and then proceed with ending the trance. I use a wakeup sequence that tries to reinforce and keep the feeling throughout. I generally make it last “as long as possible, until it eventually slowly fades away again”, but having explicit triggers for reverting might be fun too.3

Zombie hand

Severed hands or arms having a life on their own is another fantasy classic, as used in Pirates of the Caribbean and Wednesday among others. The setup is simple: Grab the sub’s wrist or forearm, say “it’s mine now” (but with more words because it’s hypnosis), and then have fun using their own hand against them. Good for scratching, good for fear play and horror, lots of fun. Some tricks:

  • The easiest way for a start is to use the hand and arm by directly holding them like a puppet of yours. Having the subject’s hand under your control without touching the subject at all is comparatively much harder, and typically doesn’t even feel as good.
  • Learn basic body handling, and how to move the forearm with minimal effort using a finger pinch lever.
  • Use wrist movement to indirectly control the fingers, making them look like they’re under your remote control. Physiology is on your side!
    • Shake the hand by the wrist to reduce tension when necessary

Denial through numbness

The main idea of this play is to take control of the sensory experience (primarily: numbing genitals and other erogeneous zones) for tease-and-denial play, as an (arguably safer and definitely more versatile) alternative to numbing creams. After the setup, I personally like to play it out roughly like this: Once I’ve caused sufficient frustration through denial, I start bargaining (“what will you give me in exchange for having your pleasure back?”, “have you been good and obedient lately?”, etc.). Then, I turn things around 180° from numbness to hypersensitivity and let them “suffer” for their “slutty” “greed” … That being said, the same ideas could just as well be used for some long-term chastity dynamic.

Ingredients for the induction:

  • Generally, sensory play is not the easiest thing for subjects to get into, so don’t expect everything to work out perfectly first try. I personally like playing with emotions, and adding that as a second component can serve as a good distraction and fallback topic.
  • This works really well with kinaesthetic hypnosis: One way to give sensory-related inductions more weight is to follow along by modulating touch. Really light, almost-not-touching touches can feel really intense on their own, and pair well together with “look, you can’t even tell if I’m touching you or not anymore”.
    • There’s also touch so light that you don’t actually have skin contact anymore, but it can still be felt through body hair, and touch that isn’t touching anymore but can still be felt through body warmth. If you’re new to this, try practicing on yourself first to get the hang of it!
  • I like framing sensory inductions—and many others, really—in terms of control: Instead of just saying “XY is happening to your body”, I “seize control of your body”, make it “obedient to my words”, and then use that framing as it suits me.
  • For the hypersensitivity direction, it’s more of the same but reversed. Do light, almost tickling, touches and make them feel oh so intense, then go into full contact for the actual sensory overload.

Brat taming

It’s a fun game of trying to pull a sub down into trance (and obedience) against their will. It can be used as a tool for brat taming, or as a simple “I dare you” party trick. Either way, the rules of the game are clear: Your goal is to have them let go and fall into trance, their goal is to fight against it as long as possible. Before I go into details on the tricks I use, here’s some useful meta for winning the game:

  • Play the long game: You can talk for longer than they can fight4, so exhaustion will be on your side in the end.
  • Don’t start with the big guns. Don’t feel ashamed at horribly “losing” for the first five minutes, it will only give the sub a false sense of security (also this is really useful for establishing the setting and doing some initial priming for the session). Then escalate slowly, making sure you can always go one step further if you need to, and project that confidence.
  • All tricks and manipulation are fair game here; don’t forget proper consent talk!
  • Control the framing of the winning condition, and take advantage of gradual wins: Superficially, “taking control” will most likely be a fairly binary win condition, with the end of the struggle marked by a “drop” of the sub. Still, trance isn’t binary, nor is suggestibility. Read their signs of exhaustion and frame them as you gaining more control over them.
    • Also, when you’re losing, secure yourself some partial wins and call it a draw. And never forget, this is not about winning, this is about having fun together!
  • Emotionally, a good progression for the subject is going from “they got nothing against me” over “I can handle this” and “oh shit oh no” to the relief of letting go and fully submitting.

Now, onto the inductions and tricks I like using (tbh this list is incomplete as I improvise a lot here, I might expand it in the future):

  • The main induction is a pull downwards, an urge to let go, or a “compulsion that [can] be resisted but never ignored” (stealing from C. Paolini here), combined with a twist: The stronger you resist it, the stronger it too becomes.
    • Again, I wouldn’t start with that explicitly, but with putting up a smokescreen first that does nothing of substance but to prepare a hypnotic mindset.
  • A variant of that induction is to build up an inner conflict: One part wants to resist and to “win”, and the other one wants to let go and embrace the good feelings of submission.
  • Once you have set up this inner conflict, this little tug of war, you can pit both sides against each other: On the resistive side, encourage more resistance (inverse psychology!), continually emphasizing that it will make the pull only stronger. On the submissive side, ravish in how awesome and freeing and whatever it will feel to finally let go.
    • Bonus points: Switching the focus back and forth between the two sides effectively acts as a fractionation for free :)

Once the inner side that is primed towards submitting wins, it is of course time to fulfill all those promises made earlier. Compliance needs to be rewarded :)

Chloroform trigger

This one literally came to me in a dream, and all I can say is that the dream hadn’t over-promised. Do you know those—admittedly slightly cringe—scenes in older movies where a bad guy is forcefully covering the mouth of some protagonist (preferably a damsel in distress) with some cloth that contains a tranquilizer (and also acts like a gag), causing them to struggle for a couple of seconds and then become unconscious? Yes, that’s exactly what this trigger is about to replicate. Its main components are:

  • The initial trigger: I just go with “pressing my hand on the mouth”, but having a dedicated cloth for this might have advantages too (bonus point if you make it damp beforehand for the sensory experience)
  • Struggling; emotions of agitation or panic: I think this really is a key part of the experience, especially for the subject. It also serves as a quick-induction to deepen the drop.
  • The drop: Can be anything that fits the theme really, but I try to aim for “total loss of body motor function” as a form of fake unconsciousness. Some hypnotic amnesia might add extra spice to the wakeup, if you got consent for that. Safety warning: Make sure you have some basic experience in body handling beforehand, and know how to protect them when they’re falling. You are fully responsible for their physical safety!
  • The wakeup: Whether the subject eventually wakes up on their own again or you explicitly wake them up again, ideally they’ll now find themselves in a state of total powerlessness involving probably at least some bondage.[5]

Key components of the trigger programming are:

  • Well, the trigger itself, which should mainly induce a state of panicked self-defense
  • The struggle, which should entail the programming for the drop. For this, I use inductions that vibe with “with each breath you take, you can feel the sedative flowing deeper into your body”, “the more you struggle, the more you feel weak and dizzy”, “you let go and fall unconscious”
  • The unconsciousness, which tbh I haven’t really programmed myself yet because with sufficient priming the subject will do the work for you and infer lots of cool things on their own :D

When using the trigger, I usually don’t repeat the pre-programmed inductions, but instead I acknowledge them through referencing. This also serves to control the pacing, and provides an external hypnotic input to strengthen the scene. I’ll say things like “feel the panic” or “keep on struggling” or “take deep breaths”, with the other half of the induction left unsaid but loudly implied. The pacing should work towards an emotional climax, and then the drop. The drop can be explicitly induced with some sentence, or happen on its own and merely be commented on, but ideally your read on the sub is good enough that you get the timing just right so that it feels simultaneous. Then immediately follow up with some trance deepeners that fit the theme.

Closing thoughts

My favorite fact about erotic hypnosis is that, unlike with trick magic, it can’t be “spoiled” by “knowing”—One can have all tricks out there in the open and still have it work just as effectively. This is because hypnosis is not an illusion, and not based on tricks and deception. Instead, it is a highly cooperative game, and thus much closer related to role playing than to illusion magic. Erotic hypnosis may serve to further fantasies of unilateral power and control, but trying to tame a brat that doesn’t actually want to lose in the end is no fun and a recipe for getting injured, no matter whether the fight is physical or mental.

1

My cooking recipes are very similar: A list of ingredients and maybe two bullet points on relevant gotchas to know. When I look for cooking recipes online, I skip right to the ingredients list, and after having seen three different recipes and how they do things I feel “inspired” and just end up improvising something on my own entirely. (Incidentally, I’m not that good at baking)

I imagine that going through a speed-inflation back to normal size must be fun :D

4

I sure hope you can, right? Don’t expect to get out of jail free in under twenty minutes unless you’re playing with a sub whose brain has already been deep-fried and thoroughly washed.

Chances are that you, the average reader, are a much more horny person than me anyways
