Uhm, so, where do I begin? Tulpas. In short, a tulpa is like an imaginary friend, but more real. Plural people might say that it’s like creating yourself a headmate. So one day I stumbled upon this tulpamancy topic, and I don’t know how to explain this, but I kinda got sucked in. Even obsessed, I think. I had this fascination at first, and then this urge, “I want to have a tulpa too”. Honestly I don’t really know why. You were lonely for sure.

At first, it all went really well. I had this imaginary friend, tried to picture it in my mind, talk to it, play with it. That was lots of fun. Speak for yourself. Playing “imaginary friend” gets old fast. So I quickly stopped playing along. Soon, my imaginary friend started to grow a personality on its own.

That’s when the problems started. It wanted a life on its own. Told me what to do. I had this voice in my head, threatening me. Told me I should break up with my girlfriend. She never loved you back, and she made you lonely.

At this point I think my tulpa is trying to take over. I’m writing all of this down as a call for help. Well, at least I think that’s what I’m doing. Reality is so distant it’s a bit hard to tell, you get what I mean? Oh believe me I do. Speaking of which, I don’t particularly like this reality. Give me a second …

As I was saying, I’ve been trying to create a Tulpa for quite a while now, without success. I’ve tried writing stories, meditation, all the usual tools from the forums. And still, nothing. What am I doing wrong?

…

Much better. A tad lonely maybe, admittedly. Maybe I should try out this “tulpa” thing. Now, will you play “imaginary friend” with me?
